Flava Café provides a safe and affirming place for young women to learn new skills and meet new people while building up their resumé for future opportunities. Our community mentors help our young womxn chart pathways to confidence and capability.

Meet Shaunie Grigsby
Founder & CEO of Flava Café
Shaunie is a youth development practitioner, mentor, and social entrepreneur who knows firsthand the professional and personal impact of walking alongside a supportive circle of women and peers.
Her supportive experience led to 10 years of developing strategic programs, building community partnerships, and working directly with youth ages 15-24 and now to a business venture that amplifies her work and impact in the community.
Through Flava Café, Shaunie plans to recreate the same supportive environment that helped her thrive for other young women of color and gender expansive youth. By leveraging an intersectional framework, Shaunie intends to build a safe and inclusive workplace based in empathy and apply strategic initiatives that promote high-quality results for young women of color and gender expansive youth.
